About “rhubarb”

“rhubarb” have earned an international reputation catering at the most glamorous private, corporate, sports and charity events from film premieres to royal weddings. More recently we have expanded into the restaurant business with fixed venues at the Saatchi Gallery, Bond & Brook in Fenwicks, The Royal Albert Hall and “rhubarb” at Heathrow airport.
The Royal Albert Hall has 13 bars and 4 restaurants; the Café Consort, Coda and the Elgar Room. All three restaurants, the East Arena Foyer, the Spitfire bar, the North Circle Bar, the Asahi Bar and the Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar open 2 hours before the performance. All other bars open at the same time as the Hall doors open which is usually 45 minutes before the start of a performance. All bars offer an interval drinks service. Our guests simply pre-order their interval drinks at any bar on arrival at the Hall. Drinks and food can also be pre-ordered for the boxes.

Job role
*As Cellar Porter your job will be to ensure beverage and bar foods are successfully supplied throughout the whole operation and assist control of stocks and cellar procedures.

*Transfer stock across the entire building via trolleys including heavy lifting.

*Assist in managing the distribution of stock for events and assist with the service and clear-down of beverage for large events and corporate hospitality.

*Placing orders and inputting delivery notes using myinventory in the absence of the Beverage controller.

*Manage and control procedures such as stock take and storage by checking deliveries and distributions. Ensure understanding and managing costs, reducing cost were possible

*Adherence and legal compliance with H &S procedures and policies including recording refrigerator temp records, maintaining a cleaning rota and cleaning records

Candidate profile
*Your past working experience and educational background will provide a close fit with “rhubarb”‘s value to have a vision, plan with precision and execute beyond expectations.

*You will be an excellent team player being able to communicate at all levels and commit to sharing your knowledge and skills within our service and kitchen brigade.

*You will be physically capable to lift large objects as well as spend long periods of time standing and walking throughout the building.
